Mr & Mrs Zimmerman started their wedding day off with a beach swim with family and friends and they chose to have the wine unity element during their ceremony. Photos by Evoke.
Dillen and Jay started their wedding day off with a tattoo. They both got, ‘among the stars, you shine the brightest’ in each-others handwriting on their collarbones. As Dillen’s heritage is South Africa, their culture includes the tasting of the four elements ritual in their wedding ceremonies, so we added sweet, bitter, sour and spicy elements to it. As you can see in the photo, the Apple Sourz shot went down nicely after tasting the cinnamon and bitter lemon. Photographer - Robyn Halliday.
Aletia and Rebecca chose to marry on the beautiful shell beach of Herm. We lit candles in memory of important family members who were there in spirit. Photos by Ben Foire.
Mr & Mrs Woods wedding, I will never forget. Just as the bride, Alice was approaching, it started to rain.. After a minute into the ceremony the rain came down even harder, where the guests were see-through soaked! The ceremonial space was outside and quite a way from The Peninsula building. The guests had to use people’s hair dryers in their rooms to dry off their clothes! An hour later we got to re-do the ceremony. Both of their mothers stood up to deliver poems and Lewis, the groom lifted his trouser leg and surprised us all with a picture of their pet rabbit on his socks. Photographer - Ben Foire
Sam and Ambers wedding was SO fun! It was at The Fleur du Jardin. They tied the knot symbolically where they had family and friends help tie ribbons around their hands, which is a unity element called handfasting. They married on the bride’s nan’s birthday in memory of her, where there was a small tribute to Nanny Pauline. The couple never take themselves seriously and so their light-hearted vows surprised their guests, perfectly reflecting Mr and Mrs Lilley’s personalities. Photographer – Etienne Lane
